Michigan’s “stay home, stay safe” order has put us all in a unique situation, but let’s try to make the best of it! Below are some ideas on carnival themed activities to do from home.

Personal Pizza

Personal Pizza
Kid approved, make dinner into family fun!

Ingredient List:
Crust:
Original recipe found here
-1 1/3 cups flour + 1/3 cup for rolling
-1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoon olive oil

Toppings:
WHATEVER YOU WANT!
Suggestions:
- marinara or pizza sauce or try alfredo sauce
- mozzarella cheese, shredded or fresh slices
- ham, pepperoni, or ground beef
- fresh basil
- onion, spinach, bell peppers, or veg of choice
- pineapple, olives, or sundried tomatoes

Crust Directions:
> Wash hands and assemble ingredients on a clean working surface, sprinkle with flour. Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees F.
> Mix all dry ingredients, stir in wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
>Place dough onto floured surface and kneed about 10 times and shape dough into ball. Cover with an inverted bowl or plastic wrap and let sit for 10 minutes.
> For one large pizza roll entire ball into a 12 inch circle OR SkerbeckFC kitchen tip: pinch four dough balls and roll out for personal sized pizzas.
> Place on pan and score with fork to prevent bubbles, place in oven for 8 minutes.

Pizza Directions:
> Once prepped crust has cooled enough to handle, place a small amount of sauce on crust and spread leaving a small edge.
> Top with cheese, about 1/2 cup.
> Arrange other optional toppings to create your favorite style pizza!
> Bake in oven for 10-15 minutes.
> Dig in!

Fresh Squeezed Lemonade

Ingredient list*:
-lemons
-sugar, honey, or preferred sweetener
-ice cubes
-water
-container with lid
*This recipe was made with 24 oz Bell canning jar. We used the juice of one full lemon and 1 1/2 Tbs of sweetener.

Directions:
>Wash hands and assemble ingredients on a clean working surface.
>Fill container half way with ice.
>Cut lemon in half, squeeze juice and pour into container.
>Add sweetener and fill cup with water.
>Close with lid and shake it up!
>Add a straw (or not) and ENJOY!
